We’re excited to announce the availability of Let’s Encrypt SSL Certificates; the fast simple and free way to protect websites hosted on our Cloud Hosting platform. In this post we look at everything you need to know about Let’s Encrypt and why now it’s more urgent than ever to make the move to https;

Let’s Encrypt give free SSL certificates to any one who wants them, and with this update, Tsohost have made it a simple one-click procedure to earn your site that green badge.

Personally I think this is great news and have begun the process of getting in touch with clients and upgrading sites if required. The web is on a huge shift to be more secure so it makes sense to future proof now and not leave it to the last. It’s also a fact that Google favours SSL/HTTPS sites over those that do not have a certificate, so for the price of absolutely nothing, you could just earn yourself a nice little bump up the rankings and earn customer trust at the same time. Win win.

Do yourself a favour, if you’re on a Tsohost Cloud Package, get over to your control panel and find the “Let’s Encrypt” icon now, and if you’re not, then get over to the Let’s Encrypt site now and see if your host supports them.
